Malorie Stuart, Founder Read Write Grow

Malorie Stuart is the founder of Read Write Grow, a Lamorinda-based educational therapy practice dedicated to providing prescriptive, engaging, and effective instruction to students of all ages—both in person and online.

As a Lamorinda parent, sister, and committed community member, Malorie’s passion for education began long before launching Read Write Grow. She started her career as a foster youth tutor, transitioned into after-school literacy intervention, and earned her multi-subject teaching credential from CSU Monterey the same year her daughter entered kindergarten.

Malorie spent eight years as a classroom teacher in Oakland, where she witnessed firsthand the diverse needs of learners—and the gaps in traditional instruction. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 and classrooms went virtual, she felt a renewed calling to reach more students in more personalized ways. What began as a response to a crisis quickly evolved into a mission.

Today, Read Write Grow continues to support children locally and across the country via Zoom, offering tailored academic support and intervention rooted in evidence-based practices.

To provide the highest level of targeted instruction, Malorie continuously invests in her professional development. She holds a certification as an Educational Therapist (UC Riverside) and is trained in:

  • Wilson Reading System® (WRS) – Practicum in progress

  • Making Math Real©: K–12 Overview, 9Lines, 4 Operations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division), Fractions, Decimals, Advanced Place Value, and Mental Math

Malorie specializes in working with children with learning differences, including dyslexia, executive function challenges, and math-based learning difficulties, using structured literacy and multisensory math instruction to build confidence, skills, and academic independence.

Her mission remains clear:

To ensure every child has access to the individualized instruction they deserve—delivered with care, expertise, and a deep belief in their potential.
